  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • ¾ cup cake flour
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1215 strawberries (about 1 cup pureed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare strawberries in a food processor until chunky and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add egg and mix well.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract, buttermilk, and strawberry puree until combined.
  5. Gradually mix in flours, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
  6. Fill a piping bag with the batter and fill donut molds halfway.
  7. Bake for 7-8 minutes until donuts spring back when touched.
  8. Cool on a wire rack before glazing with powdered sugar mixed with milk.
