  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey

Instructions

  1. Season chicken thighs with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Sear seasoned chicken in a skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce and honey.
  4. Toast uncooked rice in the same skillet for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Add chicken broth and half of the BBQ mixture to the skillet; stir well.
  6. Return chicken to skillet and pour remaining BBQ sauce over it.
  7. Cover and simmer on low for about 15 minutes.
  8. If using mixed vegetables, add them in and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving; garnish with chopped green onions.
