  • 1 (12-pack) King’s Hawaiian Rolls
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • Maple syrup

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until fully combined. Add vanilla extract, cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt; whisk until blended.
  2. Poke holes in the bottom of each roll to allow custard to soak in. Dip each roll into the custard for about 30 seconds, turning gently to coat all sides.
  3. Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Cook soaked rolls for about 30-60 seconds on each side until golden brown.
  4. Serve warm topped with powdered sugar and your choice of fresh fruit or maple syrup.
